Membrane processes such as microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reversed osmoses (RO) are commonly used for purification of wastewater, production of process water and potable water. In these systems fouling occurs and gives an increase of the transmembrane pressure (TMP), decrease of product flux, increase in salt rejection and increase in pressure drop (DP). In these cases cleaning is necessary. INSTRAL BV delivers a total chemical package of cleaning agents and anti-scalants to optimize the production of purified water and to reduce production stops.
